There are several buses that run daily from Anuradhapura to Tribcomalee but beware that on holidays the service will only be active in the morning.
If you are planning to go by taxi you can do so for 8000 to 9000Rs. The journey will take from three to four hours depending if the driver will take the new or the old road.
